API Keys

API keys let you connect external applications and scripts to your intrebit CRM data.

Creating an API key

1. Go to Settings > API Keys
2. Click Add Key
3. Configure:
   • Name — a descriptive name (e.g., “Zapier integration”)
   • Scopes — what the key can access (read, write, or both)
   • Expires at — optional expiration date
4. Click Create

Caution

The full API key is shown only once after creation. Copy it immediately and store it securely. You cannot retrieve it later.

Managing keys

The API Keys list shows:

• Key name
• Key prefix (first few characters for identification)
• Scopes
• Last used date
• Expiration date

You can delete keys that are no longer needed.

Security best practices

• Give each integration its own key (don’t share keys between tools)
• Use the minimum scopes needed
• Set expiration dates for temporary integrations
• Rotate keys periodically
• Delete keys for tools you no longer use
